Summary We booked almost 2 months in advance by phone and managed to get a reservation quite easily. We have heard a lot about Le Gavroche so of course our expectation was high. However after the meal, we were quite underwhelmed by the food. We felt that the dishes, even though well cooked, lacked wow factor. We were served a saddle of lamb, which was delicious. However as we looked around, every other table was given the best end (the most expensive cut). We asked the waitress and she said its randomly chosen by the chef, which I felt seems quite unprofessional; it made us ponder whether we were being mistreated just because we are not British. We believe a meal is more that just about the food, but the experience as a whole, and as for our experience at Le Gavroche, it surely was not the best we have had. Tasting Menu- £126 |
