Summary The restaurant really reminded us of Parisian brasseries, but with an extra notch of extravagance. The dining room was glamorous, well suited for a romantic meal. Most of the dishes were well cooked and served in a generous portion. The menu is the same throughout the day, a meal for 2 without wine would cost around £100. |

Escargots en persillade
This is a rather unusual escargot dish, as oppose to the ones topped with garlic, butter and parsley, this one is topped with a creamy mash potato and crispy slices of bread. However the whole combination is rather nice, nothing like what we've ever had before. (£ 12.00)

Daube de boeuf provencal
This dish is a beef stew, slow cooked in spices from Provence (usually savory, oregano, thyme, rosemary and marjoram) served with creamy mash. We were quite disappointed as the beef was quite tough and the spices were overpowering. (£ 26.50)

crème Chantilly
Our dessert was the baba au rhum, or a sponge cake soaked in rum syrup, served with thin slices of pineapple and vanilla scented cream. The combination was great with a balance between sweetness sponge and sourness from pineapple. However, the rum syrup was too alcoholic for us we would have liked this dessert very much if there were less alcohol. (£ 9.50)
