Summary In our opinion, one of the best value Japanese lunch in London, making it our regular spot for a light Sunday lunch. The sushi set lunch includes a soup, a salad, one roll (6 pieces) and 5 nigiri. If you're not that hungry then the set lunch should suffice, however if you are, then order another roll or a carpaccio as well. |
Miso Soup
Salad
Lemon says its not bad, but the vegetables are slightly bitter.

Salmon Set Lunch
The dish comes with a roll and 5 nigiri, all different; if I recall correctly they were salmon with tomato chutney, truffle ponzu, ginger and truffle, mirco greens and crispy fried rice. Like any contemporary sushi, the pieces are quite small but packed with a variation of vibrant flavours. A great dish overall.

Tuna Carpaccio with Truffle Ponzu Jelly
A great combination- 6 pieces of lightly seared tuna, bonito flakes (dried fish) and truffle ponzu jelly. The jelly is a very creative replacement for a sauce as you can pick them up with your chopsticks along with the tuna, to give a bursting vinegary kick with a hint of truffle. (£11.00)

Wagyu Sukiyaki
Slow cooked wagyu beef in a sweet sauce, encased with seaweed and slightly crispy rice. The sauce is shoyu with an egg yolk and we were told to break the yolk and mix well. Overall a very good dish with some great flavour and texture combination. (£11.00)
