Summary We ordered two 3-course lunch bites (a very wide variety of dishes to choose from) which were very good and came in generous portions. Service was splendid, we told the waitress how good the mango chutney was and she came back with another cup of chutney for us (which we then enjoyed with almost every single dishes throughout the meal). The atmosphere of the restaurant is clean and open, with a number of flexible and very good value lunch sets to choose from. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever been to. |
Amuse Bouche: Cassava, Lentil & Potato Papads, Shrimp Chutney & Mango Chutney
The papads were light and crispy, but the star element here is definitely the chutney. The mango chutney was sweet and with a slight spice fragrance and the shrimp chutney was very good as well. As a chutney lover, I have to say the mango chutney was probably the best I've ever had.

Ajwaini salmon tikka, carom seed and dill raita
The salmon was served grilled on the outside and coated with something which tasted like satay; The inside was perfectly cooked, medium. The dill sauce adds a creaminess to the salmon, a very good dish.

Qauil pepper fry, Keralan spices, black pepper and Indian onion
The quail was nice and spicy, although the quails were sliced too small in my opinion.

Andhra lamb masala, curry leave, coastal spices
Here come the main courses, the lamb masala was very tender and flavourful. We had it with naan bread and also added a bit of the mango chutney from the amuse bouche; the combination was absolutely gorgeous.

Caldine jheenga curry, Goan spices, tiger prawns and poppy seeds
The curry was creamy, very similar to Thai green curry. Tiger prawns were given in a very generous portion and they were very fresh.

Bread basket, Saag aloo, Hyderabadi dal and Basmalti rice.
Our main courses above were accompanied by four side dishes. Hyderabadi dal is like a creamy lentil soup and Saag aloo is cooked spinach with potatoes and crispy onions. All of the sides were quite nice and again given in generous portions.
