Summary It took us a while to find the restaurant as we didn't expect a michelin starred eatery to be on the 2nd floor of a small office building with a small narrow stairway. Inside the restaurant however, the atmosphere is comfortable with great service. To summarise, this meal is all about texture and subtlety; if you are expecting some rich umami flavour then this is probably not the place for you. However, for those who would like to try out a nice cozy place with some light and "clean" flavours, at a very affordable price, then we would recommend this place. |

This tofu is not bland, but it absolutely tastes of nothing. It was served with a pinch of wasabi and a sauce and that was all we tasted. Although the texture was nice, nothing like what we have tasted before.

This is one of the restaurant's speciality, it is quite light and aerated, unlike normal tamago, and it was served in a slightly salty (shoyu like) broth. A good dish.

Cold Soba
Finally, what the place is known for, soba. This might look like an ordinary soba but the texture is firmer than usual, and it smells of genmai (brown rice) combined with buckwheat. The sauce accompanied is less salty than usual which I think made the dish somewhat more "comfortable" to eat.
