Summary We have never been to Berners Tavern before and have not tried any of their dishes, therefore this review is base solely on the quality of their breakfast. It was quite hard to give an overall score as we were impressed with both of the dishes we ordered. We definitely look forward to trying their regular menu on our next visit. |
Brioche french toast, smoked streaky bacon, maple syrup
A very nice and sweet breakfast dish. The salty bacon cuts the sweetness of the maple syrup really well. The french toast was cooked perfectly with crispy exterior but soft and eggy centre. We asked for some more maple syrup and the waiter did not hesitate to give us a jug full, which was very nice of him! (£ 7.50)

Eggs royale
Lemon said it was the 2nd best eggs royale she has ever had (best being Ham's home made eggs royale). The yolks are runny and silky and the hollandaise was rich, thick and.... delicious! Smoked salmon was given in a generous portion and it was of very good quality. (£ 14.50)
