Summary We paid a visit to Petrus a while ago therefore we couldn't get hold of all of the photos and their names. We were quite fortunate as we got a table just a few hours before the meal. We went during dinner service and opted for the tasting menu. Overall, the dishes were classic, well cooked and elegantly finished. The ambiance was great, comfortable and classy with a beautiful glass wine cellar, which suits its name. |
It was a pity we did not get a photo of the amuse bouche. The waiter presented us with a thick book, which turned out to be a small chest, and inside revealed chicken skewers covered in smoke; a little surprise before the meal.

Chocolate Sphere
Our dessert is Gordon Ramsay's famous chocolate sphere (now available at many restaurants all around the world). The waiter poured hot chocolate sauce and melted the sphere, revealing the milk ice cream and honeycomb bits inside. At first the combination sounded very sweet to us, however the actual thing is quite well balanced, with the ice cream not being too sweet and the dark chocolate being slightly bitter.
